This was the scene after a car and a tram were involved in a collision today near Ham and Egg Terrace in Laxey.
The tram, which was heading north, appears to have collided with the car on its front end, which caused damage to the passenger steps.
The car suffered significant damage to its front passenger side, suggesting it had been attempting to turn left into Ham and Egg Terrace when the collision occurred.
It is not known if any passengers were on the tram when the incident occurred, however the police were not reporting any injuries and had the road open shortly after.
The MER also returned to normal service following the incident.
