A 21-year-old man has appeared in court after community service organisers asked for three orders to be revoked.
Harry Robert Warrillier-Grant, of Governor’s Hill, Douglas, has completed 77.5 hours of a total of 250 hours imposed.
Orders were imposed in July for 50 hours for a number of driving offences, in August for 50 hours for careless driving, and for 150 hours in December for possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
A report from community services organisers said Warrillier-Grant had shown a ’poor work ethic’ and asked for the orders to be revoked and he be resentenced.
Advocate Ian Kermode referred to a doctor’s report which said his client suffered from anxiety and depression. He said Warrillier-Grant was unable to work rather than unwilling.
The court heard he is also subject to a probation order imposed in April 2019 for a public order offence and resisting arrest. Magistrates adjourned the case to Thursday for resentencing.
