A motorist has admitted crashing his van while more than twice the legal drink-drive limit.
Barry James McKenna, aged 38, lost control of his van near Sulby reservoir, crashing through fencing and rolling down a hill.
It eventually stopped about 100 metres from the road.
Mr McKenna, of no fixed abode but now resident at probation accommodation David Gray House, failed a breathalyser test with a reading of 83 - the legal limit is 35.
He also pleaded guilty to having no driving licence. He will be sentenced on June 21 after a probation report has been completed.
He was bailed in the sum of £500.
