A woman with reduced mobility was forced backwards into a bush by a car that mounted the pavement in front of her.

Police are investigating the incident, which happened at about 9.30pm on Thursday at the top of Claughbane Drive near Ballastowell Gardens, in Ramsey.

Officers said the small, dark coloured car, did a U-turn at speed and that the occupants of the car had laughed as they went past.
