A Douglas woman has been convicted of fraud after she used a colleague’s cash card to buy herself goods.
Danielle Margaret Thomason, of Mona Street, bought herself make up and boat tickets and also tried to buy Nintendo items.
The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud by false representation when she appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, four counts of the same offence against Rajul Alam, aged 28, also of Mona Street, were dismissed.
Prosecutor Rachael Braidwood told the court that Thomason was working at the Railway pub on the quay in Douglas at the time of the offences.
The complainant left his wallet behind the bar while he was working and on May 23 Thomason used his cash card to book two passengers on the Steam Packet at a cost of £123.84

The booking was made in the name of ’D T Thomason’ with a Burnley address and an email address in her own name.
She also attempted to buy Nintendo goods valued at £299.99 and make up items for £70 but the man’s account had insufficient funds.
However Thomason did successfully buy £40 worth of make up.
A message to a work colleague was found in which she asked had she left her make up brushes at work, the same brand which was bought using the card.
When interviewed by police, Thomason denied using the card, telling officers that she never had access and that the area would have been covered by CCTV.
Defence advocate Paul Rodgers asked for a probation report to be compiled before sentencing.
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes accepted jurisdiction for the case and adjourned the case until Tuesday, November 5.She ordered that the report consider all options, including custody.
Mr Alam has pleaded guilty to separate offences of driving while disqualified, having no insurance, and property damage.
Mr Alam will also be sentenced on November 5 after an all options probation report has been completed.
