A 22-year-old Douglas woman has been cautioned and bound over to keep the peace after throwing furniture around a flat.
Sarah Louise Woods, of Murray’s Road, agreed to accept the caution and binding order for offences of property damage and assaulting a police officer.
The court heard how, on February 10 at 11.20pm, Woods had gone to a flat at Millenium Court on Queen’s Promenade in Douglas.
Woods, who was said to be intoxicated, barged in and began rowing with the woman occupant inside.
Verbal insults were said to have been traded before Woods started throwing furniture around.
Items including a flat-screen TV and a broadband router were damaged but it was said that compensation had since been paid.
When police attended an assault was alleged to have taken place.
The case had previously been adjourned for a psychiatric report to be prepared and prosecutor Barry Swain said that it had been agreed that the best course of action was a caution and binding order.
Woods was bound over to keep the peace in the sum of £500 for 12 months.
