A Pulrose woman has admitted trying to post £5,000 in cash relating to crime to an address in Liverpool.
Elle-May Clare, of Heather Crescent, pleaded guilty to attempting to remove criminal property from the island to the UK.
She appeared before Magistrates on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old was committed to the court of General Gaol Delivery and will be sentenced there on a date to be set.
Prosecuting advocate Rebecca Cubbon told the court that police were called to the Post Office sorting office on the Spring Valley industrial estate in Braddan on December 2 after a report of a suspicious package.
The parcel was addressed to Church Road in Liverpool but the sender’s name was said to be barely legible.

Inside the package was a gift-wrapped box which contained two tea towels with £5,000 in cash in between them.
CCTV footage of the package being posted was viewed and identified Clare as the sender.
She was arrested and in police interview, she admitted she had sent the parcel but denied knowing what it contained.
Clare’s DNA was not found on any of the internal packing.
The court heard that she has no previous convictions.
Prosecutor Ms Cubbon said that the case would have been suitable to remain in summary court for sentencing but a confiscation order for the cash could only be made at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Defence advocate Paul Rodgers said that a basis of plea would be entered before sentencing, reiterating what his client had said in police interview.
Bail continues in the sum of £500 pending sentencing.
