There will be three photograph exhibitions during this year’s Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT, courtesy of Bill Snelling’s Fottofinders archive.

Now a regular feature of both the TT and Manx Grand Prix, the exhibition at the Laxey Woollen Mills on Glen Road, will again take place, starting on Saturday, August 18, and is open daily throughout the fortnight except on the middle Sunday.

The Sulby Glen Hotel is the venue for another of Mr Snelling’s exhibitions and there will be a third one based in the paddock area near Glencrutchery Road. This will be in the Manx Radio offices in the unit under the grandstand.

As usual, the photographs, taken from Mr Snelling’s archive of many thousands of images, are selected often for their quirky, unusual or humorous qualities.

The exhibition in the grandstand has a slightly different focus as it is to mark the 40th anniversary of the newcomers’ race, in which Mr Snelling himself took part, carrying the number one plate.

Exhibition entry is free, in return for a charitable donation to the Manx Grand Prix Supporters’ Club helicopter fund.
