The weather forecast from the Met Office:
A dry and bright Christmas Day with prolonged spells of sunshine and a light to moderate westerly breeze. Feeling pleasant in the sun with temperatures reaching up to 8°C at best.
Turning chilly after dusk before the light and variable wind settles to the southeast and quickly increases to become strong, as cloud spreads across the island bringing a spell of heavy rain late in the night.
Boxing Day will be cloudy with heavy rain at first quickly becoming patchy outbreaks of rain at times during the afternoon. A windy day with a strong to near gale force south-easterly wind which will turn to the south or southwest and ease later in the day. Top temperature around 10°C.
Remaining unsettled on Friday with rain at first which will clear later in the morning, leaving the afternoon mostly dry but cloudy. Highest temperature around 10 or possibly 11°C in the light to moderate south or southwest wind.
