Historian Peter Kelly is to present a slide show of what he calls ’unusual views of things in the Isle of Man, some of which have long gone and others of past events that have faded from the memory’ this week.
The talk will take place at Mount Tabor Church, in Port St Mary, on Thursday, November 18.
It is entitled In Memory of Donald after Mr Kelly visited a slide show presented by Donald Gellion, aged 90, in the same venue.
Mr Gellion of Port St Mary gave what he planned to be his last ever colour slide show after years of raising funds for charity with his selection of unusual views of the island. He died five days later.
Mr Kelly’s presentations are on Power Point presentations these days but he said he wanted to give a colour slide show in gratitude of Mr Gellion’s past work.
