Find out what being a special constable involves by chatting to people who volunteer.
The final drop-in sessions as part of a recruitment campaign take place at the Costa at the Sea Terminal on Thursday, April 26, from 6pm and 8pm and Saturday, May 5, from 11am to 2pm.
Specials are expected to contribute a minimum of 100 hours’ duties over 12 months.
Chief constable Gary Roberts said: ’The Special Constabulary plays a vital role in modern policing. The work they undertake is not only important in helping to keep people safe - it is hugely rewarding from a personal perspective, allowing people to gain a range of experiences which are attractive to employers.
