After many months of hard work from our artists, sponsors, schools, community groups and volunteers to get our Wallabies Gone Wild trail to where it is today, we are taking the opportunity to celebrate its success through our ever popular events calendar.

On Saturday, July 20, we invite you to take part in our Wallaby Wander challenge.

The aim of the event is to encourage families to get out and about together and compete with other teams to complete our wallaby themed treasure hunt within a specific time period.

Teams can be made up of families, work colleagues or groups of friends, everyone is welcome.

The event will begin at 11am at Ballannette Park in Baldrine, where teams will arrive in their vehicle.

Each team will then be given a pack with clues that will help them plan their strategy for the day.

There is no set order to solving the clues but there will be specific locations that have to be visited throughout the day. It is up to you to choose the best route!

Teams will need to find the answers to the clues, take a selfie in each location (with all team members) and race safely back to Ballannette before the 4pm cut off with completed answer card.

Tea and coffee will be available at the finish for teams to enjoy after completing their busy day of wallaby hunting.

Once everyone has arrived at the finish, teams will gather around to hear who the lucky winners of the challenge are.

Entry costs £40 per vehicle.

For the team who complete the hunt in the quickest time with the most correct answers and all of the required selfies, there will be an incredible cash prize of £250.

There will also be some Wallabies Gone Wild goodies up for grabs on the day.

All proceeds will be raised for Hospice Isle of Man, to help us to support people within our community to live well, their way, until the end of life.

Once you’ve decided on your team, register for the event on www.hospice.org.im, call the team on 647433 or email [email protected]
