It follows rejection of the initial plan in 2016 when the planning committee deemed the design ’utilitarian and unattractive’.
The application is for a three-storey sheltered housing complex providing 37 flats, with associated car parking and landscaping.
Amendments include altered window design to create a stronger rhythm of vertical projecting bays and a mix of roof designs to create interest along the roof/eaves line.
Plans are approved or rejected by the government’s planning committee. Local authorities can express only an opinion about them.
