A man has been arrested after reports that someone was seen with a knife in Ramsey.

The Isle of Man Constabulary said it received reports at around 2.50pm on Sunday, July 12, that a man had been seen on Parliament Street in possession of a knife.

Armed response teams were sent to the area alongside neighbourhood officers.

Police said a man was subsequently arrested in the Brookhill Road area of Ramsey.

In a statement, the force said: ‘Enquiries are ongoing in relation to this matter.’

No further details have been released at this stage.
