Carved walking sticks and ribbon cushions were just some of the unusual gifts members of Mannin Art Group had for sale at its Art Market.

The event was held at St Paul’s Hall, in Market Square, Ramsey on Saturday, to encourage residents to buy Manx this Christmas.

Artists and craftspeople that were displaying their wares included Martin Lawson, Linda Wales, Ronnie Doyle, Chris Fairgrieve and Hilary Summerscales.

They included textiles (silks, prints, quilts, ribbon cushions); woodwork (carved panels, walking sticks, crooks, bowls); ceramics; stained glass; paintings; paperweights; and drawings.A proportion of the profits from the sale will be donated to Northern Live at Home Scheme.
