Derivco Isle of Man is sponsoring the award for Business Person of the Year at this year’s Isle of Man Newspapers’ Awards for Excellence.
As well as being a long-time sponsor of the awards, Derivco was also the winner of last year’s Freedom to Flourish award. This is the Isle of Man Government’s award which goes to the organisation, whether commercial, charitable or public sector, which has demonstrated the best interpretation and delivery of the Freedom to Flourish promise:
’The Isle of Man is a land of possibility where people and business will find the right environment in which to reach their full potential, whatever they feel that might be.’
Derivco is an organisation which has certainly gone out of its way to create an environment in which its employees can flourish:
’We want to become the workplace of choice for IT professionals in the island,’ says Charlotte Cain, who works in the HR team.
Since arriving in the island almost five years ago, staff numbers have grown exponentially and they are still recruiting.
Charlotte said: ’I think one of our memorable moments at Derivco this year has been hitting the 100th employee milestone in February, which we’ve already smashed as we’re now standing strong over 120 people!’
Vacancies are most often IT related.
’An ideal candidate will have experience in providing technical support for software applications and specifically Microsoft SQL,’ said Charlotte.
’They will love to troubleshoot and resolve highly complex issues, whilst providing excellent customer service. A good team player with experience in the field and strong communication skills will always fit at Derivco.
’There’s also nothing more refreshing than finding someone who is passionate about their career, who has a desire to learn about new technologies and develop themselves personally.
’We eat, sleep and breathe IT, and we invest heavily in our people, our technologies and our software. We also have an incredible internal culture, we celebrate everything and there’s always cake in the office!’
In addition to ongoing career development and a great benefits package, Derivco employees are also a part of the state-of-the-art Circular Road campus, which also encompasses software giant Microgaming. Microgaming is Derivco’s sole customer, supporting and servicing their software the world over.
Derivco’s offices are just over the sky bridge at Number 26, but they share all the employee facilities throughout the new building (Number 62) including the Barista bar with their own exclusive blend of coffee; free lunches in the canteen and at the self-service breakfast bar; an on-site gym and roof garden.
If all that has whetted your appetite to dust off your CV and apply to Derivco then you will want to know what roles the company is currently seeking to fill.
Charlotte said: ’We are always looking for IT software engineers to join our team, and we have vacancies in all product areas including our Sportsbook, Quickfire, Banking and Casino Platforms teams. Our vacancies are constantly updated on our website, so for more information on all our roles, please visit www.derivco.co.im’
If you would love to work in a friendly team for whom cutting edge is something they do every day then Derivco is the place to be.
