A new barrier for the car park at Union Mills’ village shop is designed to stop large vehicles using it.

It has been placed at the entrance to the spaces next to the Spar shop on the main road in the village.

Braddan Commissioners say that damage was being caused to bollards, tarmac and walls at the site by vans and lorries.

Commercial vehicles were also blamed for taking up spaces which would otherwise be used by the public.
