Beach Buddies has changed its plans for the weekend.

This week’s event will take place on Saturday instead of Sunday.

The weather forecast is better for Saturday than Sunday

A stretch of coastline in the south has been chosen, to avoid TT course traffic issues, so volunteers will meet at Langness, at the main car park, from 10.30am on Saturday, August 25.

Occasional Saturday events have been held for the first time this year, and have had good turn-outs of volunteers, and Beach Buddies’ organisers hope there will be another good number for their first visit to Langness for some months, now that nesting seabirds have fledged their chicks.

All equipment is provided by Beach Buddies and new volunteers are always warmly welcomed, especially families. Well behaved dogs - on leads - are also welcome.
