Beach Buddies will continue its series of community clean-up events this coming weekend, shifting its attention to the north of the island.

The group will be going inland this weekend to collect rubbish all around the town of Ramsey.

The meeting point is the main Ramsey Shoprite car park this Sunday from 10.30am-12pm.

The group said: ’New faces are always welcome and we have found that the community clean-up events have attracted new volunteers each time.

’Please note that young children must be accompanied by an adult for this event, as it could involve crossing roads and using pavements.

’We advise that this is not a good event to bring your dog, unless on a lead at all times.’
