The biggest cruise ship to have visited the island is in Douglas Bay today (Saturday).

The Fred Olsen Cruise Lines ship, Borealis arrived earlier this morning and remain until around 6.30pm.

A Cruise Isle of Man spokesperson said: 'With more than 1,100 onboard, there is likely to be a lot of cruise passengers exploring our island.

'Make sure to give them a friendly Manx welcome.'

The Borealis visited in her previous life as the Rotterdam for Holland America Line but was sold to Fred Olsen in 2020 during the Covid pandemic.

She is currently home ported in Liverpool and is making her maiden call to the Isle of Man as a Fred Olsen ship.
