A section of Lezayre Road in Ramsey will be closed today (Sunday) and diversions put in place ahead of a road improvement scheme.

The project is scheduled to run until August 10, during which time the junction of Bircham Avenue and Lezayre Road will be closed for about six weeks while the highway is reconstructed and works are carried out to improve the utilities.

Throughout the period, motorists heading to Ramsey along the TT Course will be required to turn left at Sulby Bridge and follow the diversion route.

Traffic heading out of Ramsey town centre towards the west will be diverted from Parliament Square to the A13 Jurby Road and onwards to Sulby Bridge.

There will be no direct access for vehicles to Ramsey Grammar School from the town centre. All vehicular access to and from the school will be from a westerly direction only. School buses will pick up and drop off students at Shoprite car park.
