The Met Office forecast for Tuesday: ‘Bright today, with sunny spells and perhaps a few scattered showers, these most likely mid-afternoon.

‘The southwest winds will be strong and quite blustery for much of the time, with the maximum temperature 15 Celsius.

‘Tonight will then be mostly dry, with tomorrow seeing sunny spells, scattered showers and fresh to strong west or southwest winds.

‘Temperatures in the low to mid teens again.’
