Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes has opened and adjourned the inquest into the death of Gary Skelding, who died while working on a building site.
Mr Skelding was working at King William’s College for Stewart Clague Services at the time of his death on August 4.
Originally from Wolverhampton, Mr Skelding was 56 and living in Laxey when he died.
Mrs Hughes said the post mortem on the air conditioning engineer revealed his cause of death was ’multiple injuries consistent with a fall from scaffolding with heavy objects’.
As police and health and safety executive investigations are continuing into the causes of Mr Skelding’s death, Mrs Hughes adjourned the inquest until date yet to be determined.
In adjourning, Mrs Hughes extended her condolences to Mr Skelding’s family.
