The countdown to Christmas well and truly began at the Isle of Man Business Network’s annual festive get-together.

Sponsored by DQ Advocates, the event saw almost 80 professionals from an array of sectors meet up for Christmas drinks and raise money for an important local charity in the process.

The gathering at Bar George in Douglas raised £1,000 for Housing Matters Isle of Man, which provides advice, practical support and guidance for those in housing crisis in the island.

The festive mood was further enhanced with networking and a range of super raffle prizes donated by local businesses.

DQ associate Jess Cocker, who is a committee membe of the Isle of Man Business Network, said: ’After such a challenging year, it was wonderful to begin the countdown to Christmas and raise funds for a charity which undertakes such invaluable work and support around housing matters for those living in the island.
