The acquisition of companies operating in similar or related fields will be a key element of Charterhouse Lombard Limited’s growth strategy for 2018, and beyond.
In 2017 the Ramsey-based business, which provides offshore company and trust formation services, made two successful acquisitions of established Isle of Man businesses – Manntax C.S.P. Limited and Mona Limited.
Chris Broadhead, group managing director of Charterhouse Lombard, said the company was actively seeking more acquisitions this year, and aiming to utilise its strong reputation to support growth.
He said: “From the very start Charterhouse Lombard has consistently delivered a professional but personal service that has been underpinned by the integrity, experience and expertise of the management team.
‘We are seeking to enhance our presence and reputation for efficient and client-focused administration services.
‘As a privately owned organisation, the strength of Charterhouse lies in our ability to act impartially with the interests of clients and their advisers always being at the heart of decision making processes.
‘This has been the foundation of our success, and it has put the business in a strong position as we implement our growth strategy for 2018 and beyond.’
The company, which was established in 1995, employs 14 staff, two of whom are based in Dubai.
Charterhouse Lombard Ltd is part of Charterhouse Group International Limited and companies owned by the same shareholders employ more than 100 staff in the Isle of Man, London, Manchester, and Dubai, with approximately 90 of that number being based here in the island.
Charterhouse Lombard has an international presence and provides offshore company formation services in jurisdictions which include (but are not limited to) the Isle of Man, Ras Al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Mauritius, The British Virgin Islands (BVI), Gibraltar, Seychelles, and Panama.
There are also some ‘exciting’ opportunities for growth in the Middle East, especially in the Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone where Charterhouse is one of only a few overseas based companies that are official registered agents.
The economy in the UAE is expected to grow by 3.6 per cent in 2018, up from the 1.7 per cent growth the country experienced in 2017.
Economists also believe the country’s GDP will continue to strengthen the following year, led by increased oil production and the growing non-oil sector.
This growth rate is stronger than most other countries in the region.
Charterhouse Lombard Limited is licensed by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority as a corporate and trust service provider.
Charterhouse provide and manage companies, trusts and foundations in most of the recognised international jurisdictions.
