Cake designer Aimee Ford has spoken of her delight after being made an unpaid ’brand ambassador’ for two firms.
Miss Ford from Peel has previously scooped awards for her work and was a finalist at last year’s Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence in the innovation and independent thinking category.
Now ’Butterfingers by Aimee Ford’ is celebrating after Clairella and BrambleSky recognised her work.
Clairella Cakes specialises in cake airbrushes and stencils, stocked by Amazon among others. BrambleSky is the brainchild of Kate Palmer-Irani who has turned her flair for interior design into a global brand specialising in wedding cake stands and props.
Miss Ford says there’s a growing trend in global businesses to take on ’brand ambassadors’ that reflect their values and act as the face of the company.
Miss Ford, who said she has not been paid for the role, said: ’It is an honour to have been named a brand ambassador for both of these influential and inspirational companies.
’They both embody powerful core values that resonate with me about encouraging and supporting one another to achieve our full potential.
’I am excited to represent them and also keep flying the flag for Manx cake designers.’
She explained that the role of brand ambassador means that when the two companies launch a new product she is among the first in line to receive them.
Claire Anderson of Clairella Cakes said: ’Aimee is particularly known for her striking wedding cake designs and is quite the trend setter. She already has some fantastic ideas for stencil designs and we are beyond excited to have her on our team. We call her Amazing Aimee.’
Kate Palmer-Irani said: ’Here at BrambleSky we love working with suppliers who are not afraid to push the boundaries.’
