The government has renewed its appeal for businesses in the tourism industry to step forward with special offers for residents.
Visit Isle of Man, the government’s tourism body, wants them to take part in’On your Doorstep - One Big Weekend’ event over the weekend of March 23 and 24.
They have to sign up by January 14.
Visit Isle of Man wants businesses to offer free or reduced price tickets to give Isle of Man residents the chance to test out activities and experiences available for them to promote to visiting friends and relatives.
Carl Underwood, who runs both Laser-Mayhem and Quad Bike Mania and is a member of the Visit Isle of Man Board, said; ’I would all urge all tourism businesses to take part in this superb initiative which will kick start the 2019 tourism season and to take full advantage of the marketing and operational benefits the weekend will bring.
’It is an excellent chance to promote your offering to locals, providing them with a great excuse to have a go at activities they may not have considered before or try somewhere new to eat.’
