Online gaming software giant Microgaming, has announced a partnership with the SMP Compliance Academy for its compliance and regulatory training.
Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, said: ’Regulatory compliance is at the very centre of everything we do and as such we must continually train our people and ensure that their knowledge is as up-to-date as possible.
’The Compliance Academy, designed by SMP eGaming, meets that requirement and we are delighted to have partnered with them.’
It’s another piece of good news for SMP. Business News reported last month the academy had scooped a major deal with one of the world’s leading betting and gaming companies, William Hill.
The gambling giant confirmed the training platform created and managed by SMP eGaming, would be rolled out to more than 1,300 of its staff based in Gibraltar, UK and further afield.
Kim Broad, head of compliance at Microgaming, based in Circular Road, Douglas said: ’We conducted an appraisal of the online training market for our sector and the Compliance Academy stood head and shoulders above the rest from a content, user experience and overall functionality perspective.
’Being able to manage many hundreds of users from one platform, allocate courses and analyse and report on results across our various teams makes the delivery of our compliance training far more engaging, efficient and cost effective.’
The SMP Compliance Academy has been developed by SMP eGaming, the highly regarded specialist gaming consultancy based in the island.
Ted Pepper, director of SMP eGaming said: ’We are delighted that Microgaming has chosen the Compliance Academy for regulatory and compliance training.
’The commitment to the training and development of their people is well known and admired within the gaming sector, and to be given the opportunity to become a core component of that is a strong endorsement of the platform and the quality of the service we have developed.’
The Compliance Academy provides Microgaming with a personalised training ’platform’ from where it can co-ordinate and manage the delivery of SMP eGaming’s proprietary regulatory and compliance training content across its campus and commercial teams.
Mr Pepper added: ’We launched the Compliance Academy last year to meet the very tangible pressures licence holders are facing from a compliance and regulatory perspective and there is a real drive to raise training and development standards.’
