Law firm DQ Advocates has announced the addition to the team of highly experienced Manx advocate Dawn Jones.

Dawn joins DQ as a consultant and will work with both the dispute resolution and regulatory and compliance teams.

Dawn has more than 30 years’ experience.

She is best known for her criminal law work, having acted as lead advocate in numerous murder cases, health and safety criminal prosecutions and complex sexual offence allegations.

She is additionally well known for her matrimonial work, in particular high net worth cases involving trust elements.

’Dawn brings with her a wealth of experience in the criminal law field, which is not an area that DQ has traditionally been associated with.

’Her addition to the team allows us to provide clients with a depth of knowledge and experience when advising in particular on regulatory enforcement, proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2008 as well as complex health and safety cases.

’As an experienced court and police station advocate, Dawn allows us to offer ongoing representation to our clients throughout a matter, and ensures that our team has strength in depth across a range of specialisms in order to provide seamless support and practical, pragmatic assistance.’
