An island law firm is claiming that clients can now undertake risk-free property transactions by deciding what to pay for their conveyancing services.

Quinn Legal, based in Ridgeway Street, Douglas, says the scheme forms part of a drive to shake up what it calls the ’broken’ property industry.

James Quinn, founder and chief inspiration officer at Quinn Legal said: ’I believe that the legal system in relation to property transactions is not working.

’It shouldn’t take as long as it currently does to complete property transactions.

’The legal sector has in the large part become complacent and has lost sight of the absolute fact that we are a service industry.

’Client service and delivering value must remain the two most important principles of what we as lawyers do.

’At Quinn Legal, we’re committed to disrupting the sector.

’We know that some legal firms will not want to upset the status quo.

’That is their choice but for more forward-thinking law firms my challenge is to join forces to help drive the changes and support the property sector on the Isle of Man to flourish.’

Mr Quinn launched the initiative at the inaugural Manx Property Circle - a business event geared towards residential and commercial property players across the Isle of Man.

The company said the property initiative is aimed at people across the island.

The scheme forms part of what the company says is a drive to shake-up the ’broken’ property industry.

It confirmed that clients that appoint Quinn Legal as their legal representative for property transactions will have the opportunity to decide how much they want to pay if they receive a level of service over or under the level of legal service they expected.

They will also in due course have access to other benefits including:

lOnline quoting with different service level packages to offer choice on price and service

lOnline access to their files and key stages relating to the process

The price is right. Quinn Legal says it is committed to disrupting the property sector and clients will have the opportunity to decide how much they want to pay depending on level of service
