Accountancy firm Deloitte has pledged to continue helping The Children’s Centre as part of a policy to work in the community.

Children’s Centre fundraising manager Mary Doyle said: ’We are thrilled that Deloitte will continue to support us in our 150th anniversary year and beyond.

’In real terms their staff will take part in some of our challenge events, perhaps organise one themselves and work at our Community Farm as part of their Impact Day programme.’

Clare Mahood from Deloitte said: ’We appreciate the charity has evolved and developed over the last couple of years but a focus on their charitable services and the impact they make within our small community on children, young people and families is perfectly aligned with our objectives for our new responsible business strategy of "One Million Futures," enabling people to overcome barriers to education and employment and giving individuals the skills and opportunities to success.’
