Six employees at Quilter International received awards to celebrate long service.
They were presented with gifts and certificates marking their achievement by chief executive Peter Kenny at the company’s headquarters at King Edward Bay House, Onchan.
Michelle Cale celebrated 30 years’ working for the company, while her colleagues Margaret McLaughlin and Matt Robertson celebrated 20 and 10 years respectively.
Three employees - Andrew Blake, Tiegan Campbell and Adam Leonard - received five year certificates.
Mr Kenny thanked them all for their loyalty and significant contribution to the business.
Quilter International is a cross border provider of wealth management products and operates in multiple global markets in the UK, Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
lMeanwhile Quilter International recorded a hat-trick of prizes at the 2020 International Adviser Global Financial Services Awards.
Announced via a virtual ceremony, the annual awards recognise excellence across the industry.
The company scooped the international life group (non-UK), digital proposition, and international portfolio bond categories. Winning the latter award is another hat-trick because it’s the third year in row that the company has won that category - and particularly pleasing because this year it was for its French executive portfolio which was only launched in September.
The awards were decided following nominations and judging by expert panels of global financial advisers. In the International Life Group (non-UK) category judges praised Quilter International for emerging ’from a period of transition stronger and with a real sense of energy and innovation’.
Commenting on the International Portfolio Bond award, judges said the winners were ’clearly meeting and exceeding adviser expectations’.
Mr Kenny said: ’I am delighted that we have continued our long run of success at these awards. Winning is not only an endorsement of our approach to customer service, it is also a powerful recognition of the hard work and commitment of everyone within the business.’
lLast month we reported that Quilter’s home at the Douglas Bay Complex, understood to be the largest office building in the island, has been sold.
The business venue, extending to more than 66,000 sq ft and 300-plus parking spaces, had an asking price of nearly £20m.
It stands on the site of the former Douglas Bay Hotel which burned to the ground in 1988.
Property agents Black Grace Cowley stressed the sale of the building has no impact on the existing tenants, where the head lease is held by Quilter International, who in turn sublet about one third of their space to PokerStars.
