The yachting and crewing team from global professional services provider Equiom will once again exhibit at the world famous Monaco Yacht Show from today. (Wednesday)

The island office of Equiom is in Jubilee Buildings, Victoria Street, Douglas.

Edward Leigh, director of yachting and aviation, will lead the team of 10 staff travelling to the show from the group’s Isle of Man, Malta and Jersey offices.

They bring with them yachting expertise in tax, VAT, ownership structures, sales and purchases as well as the administration of crewing services.

In addition, representatives from the Monaco office will be present throughout the week offering local support and meeting clients.

Edward Leigh said of the event: ‘The team and I are looking forward to what will be another eventful Monaco Yacht Show.

‘We’re delighted to be supported by our local office in Monaco which boasts a French fiscal representation service.

‘It’s a new era for Equiom to have a local team [based in Monaco] at the show and one that will greatly benefit our non-resident clients.

‘Furthermore, this year our team will include Geoff McCumesky, who recently joined Equiom as a yachting consultant from Burgess Yachts.

‘On the crewing side of the business we have progressed from employing 70 crew, when we first started operating, to employing more than 1,000 crew members today - an incredible achievement and a true testament to the appetite for this service.’

Considered the world’s premier yachting event, the Monaco Yacht Show was established in 1991 and attracts the biggest and best from the global industry.

This year’s event will feature more than 580 exhibiting companies and showcase 120 one-off superyachts.

Many superyachts will be on display from Wednesday to Saturday.
