Gaming company Gamesys is moving into an office development in the heart of Douglas.
Tevir Group has agreed a tenancy agreement with the firm for the first floor of 55 Athol Street.
As so many companies have moved out of the town centre to the business park, this decision will be welcomed by firms that rely on passing trade.
Ben Wood, the general manager of the Isle of Man office of the Gamesys Group said: ’I’m very pleased to have reached agreement on this new lease and to be moving to 55 Athol Street.
’This will enable us to bring our Isle of Man operations together under one roof and to further expand the team to support our growing community of players.’
The Athol Street site was transformed following Tevir Group’s acquisition of the property and incorporates a number of features to support wellbeing.
These include a fully-equipped gym, changing rooms with showers, secure bike park, breakout areas and good levels of natural light.
Ciaran Doherty, the managing director of the Tevir Group, said: ’We are delighted to welcome Gamesys to 55 Athol Street.
’It is a leading and well-respected brand within its industry and it is really positive news that it has chosen to open an office here in Douglas, further developing its operations on the Isle of Man which were first established last year.’
There is now only one office suite remaining to be let.
