SMP Partners Group has marked 30 years’ service by its group managing director, Mark Denton.
Originally from Lincoln, Mr Denton worked in London for 15 years, spending seven years as private banking manager for Grindlays Bank before joining what is now SMP Partners in 1988.
He moved with the company when it came to the Isle of Man in 1997, taking up the post of managing director in 2007.
In 2012 he was appointed chairman of the Isle of Man Association of Corporate Service Providers, comprising approximately 110 member firms in the sector, which employ 1,900 people and represent eight per cent of the island’s GDP.

Mr Denton celebrated his three decades of service and SMP Partners group chairman Steve McGowan paid tribute to his achievements.
Mr McGowan said: ‘The experience and knowledge that Mark brings to his role is second to none and SMP Partners is proud to acknowledge his dedicated service to the company.
‘When Mark took over from me as managing director 11 years ago, I knew he would thrive in the post and he has done just that.
‘On behalf of everyone at SMP Partners, I’d like to thank him for everything he has done – and long may continue to do – for the company.’
Headquartered in the Isle of Man in Lord Street, Douglas, the SMP Partners Group is one of the largest trust and corporate service providers in the island.
The Group is independently owned by its executive board of directors and employs more than 155 people in the Isle of Man, with additional offices in places including the Bahamas and Hong Kong.
