A dental practice has proved popular with ‘business lunch’ customers since it opened more than three years ago at North Quay, Douglas.

The patient list has grown ‘steadily’ and much of this success has been put down to attracting corporate clients.

The Quay Dental team is led by clinical director Andrew Jowett, who has been practising in the island since 1998.

He said: ‘Being particularly popular with the local business community, it attracts many corporate clients who wish to take advantage of the convenient location and opening hours, which include opening over the ‘‘traditional’’ office lunch breaks.

Business News first reported about Quay Dental when it opened and the message is that the patient list has grown steadily during that time.

Mr Jowett said Quay Dental is part of the Bupa Dental Network, as well as other corporate insurance schemes, and so those who receive dental care through their employment, which is now commonplace, may take advantage of the corporate rates offered.

‘This has been particularly popular with those patients who have an annual limit on their corporate scheme.’

Andrew is joined in the team by therapist Ben Davenport and Manx dentist Anna Gibb. Andrew said: ‘Anna is extremely good with nervous patients.’
