An island financial services firm is offering some welcome jobs joy with a recruitment boom during lockdown.

Capital International has announced it is looking to fill more than 10 Isle of Man based roles.

Group chief executive Greg Ellison explained the reasons behind the recruitment drive.

He said: ’It may seem unusual to be recruiting for so many new roles in the grip of a pandemic, but the group has performed well over the last nine months, and 2021 represents a very exciting time for our business.

’It’s been four years in the making but we’re now on the cusp of opening the virtual doors to our brand new digital corporate banking proposition: CIB Limited.

’With this expansion to our offering, a whole host of roles have become available, demanding a wide range of skills and experience.

’We’re looking for developers to support the continuous improvements and updates to our banking platform.

’Those in search of a front-office role might be interested in our business development role or becoming a client engagement analyst who will be tasked with acting as subject matter experts to support our clients on our banking system.

’It doesn’t stop there.

’We have 10 vacancies currently advertised on our website.

’From IT support engineer and product manager to administrator roles within our investment business, we’re looking for individuals who want to join and share our core values of innovation, integrity and excellence.’

In 2016, the Isle of Man introduced the Alternative Banking Regime (ABR) following consultation and industry collaboration, to widen the scope for new banking opportunities, bringing benefits to sectors that require banking facilities.

A spokesman said the Circular Road, Douglas, based Capital International Group was founded in 1996 ’with the aim of bringing technology and service excellence to the stockbroking and investment sectors in the Isle of Man.

’Today, the firm provides investment management, platform and treasury services to clients all over the world, boasts four offices across the Isle of Man and South Africa, employs more than 160 people and holds approximately $4.5bn in assets under administration’.
