An island business which provides a marketplace for anyone to buy or sell unwanted travel bookings has been given an accolade.

TransferTravel.com has been recognised and endorsed with a TrustSeal by Sharing Economy UK.

Sharing Economy UK sets out a standard of principles that promotes trust and transparency within sharing economy businesses.

The coveted TrustSeal sets TransferTravel.com alongside the vanguard of the sharing economy community with names such as Air bnb, Deliveroo and GumTree being previous recipients of the Seal.

Recipients of the TrustSeal must satisfy six broad principles of good sharing practice, which covers criteria such as security and data protection, transparent communications and pricing, and identity and credential verification.

Simon Powell, chief executive and founder at TransferTravel.com, said: ‘We are delighted to have our services recognised with the TrustSeal. We work hard at TransferTravel.com to give our customers complete peace of mind when exchanging unwanted travel itineraries.

‘The TrustSeal is confirmation that our practices and policies are morally and ethically sound. It is wonderful to be endorsed by Sharing Economy UK and have our credentials and rectitude approved by such a respected board.’

A team of around 10 people work for TransferTravel.com based at an office in Hill Street, Douglas. TransferTravel.com were also recently the headline partner at the ABI Travel Insurance Conference in London’s Tower Hamlets area.
