The island’s Lieutenant Governor, Sir Richard Gozney, visited Isle of Man Newspapers’ headquarters in Peel Road, Douglas, this week.

He met the staff in the newsroom and the advertising department before enjoying lunch with the company’s executive team.

Editor Richard Butt said: ’We were delighted that Sir Richard paid us a visit to find out more about the company and our staff.

’He asked a lot of questions about how the reporters gather stories and we were pleased to hear that he was impressed with our titles.’
