Lloyds Bank has confirmed it will be closing two of its branches in the new year.
The branches in Castletown and Peel will close from January, with the bank blaming ’a drop in transactions’. The decision leaves Ramsey and Douglas as the bank’s remaining branches in the island.
A move to online banking has made the village bank less important in recent years and many across the island have closed.
