Audit, tax and advisory specialists KPMG bid farewell to Madeleine Jones after more than 40 years of service at the firm.

Madeleine started her KPMG career in the UK in November 1977 as an executive assistant in their London Canary Wharf office.

She joined the Athol Street, Douglas, based KPMG in the island in January 2010 where she supported tax partner, Greg Jones and the tax team.

Madeleine said: ’I have always been very pleased to have worked for KPMG.

’From the very first day I was made to feel welcome and very much part of the team.

’They are a fantastic group of people and I wish them and the firm continued success.

’So what’s next? Well I’m looking forward to spending some time travelling and of course a dog (or two!) will eventually join the Jones’ household!’

Following on from the travel theme, Madeleine received gifts at her leaving presentation that fitted in perfectly with her plans for 2018.

Tax partner Greg Jones said: ’Madeleine has been an invaluable member of our team and I would like to thank her for her dedication to KPMG - 41 years is an outstanding achievement.

’Whilst we are delighted that Madeleine will now have more time to devote to herself and her interests, we will all miss her and the expertise and experience she bought to KPMG’
