Advertising for the recruitment of a new airport director is underway.
The Department of Infrastructure is looking for someone to help operate, manage, maintain and develop Ronaldsway Airport.
This follows the government’s announcement in October that Paul Clarkson would rejoin the team to act as interim airport director after Ann Reynolds, who held the post for 14 years, resigned.
Mr Clarkson had been in the role of deputy from 2006 to 2018 at the airport. The position was undertaken for an interim basis until the future operating model of the airport was confirmed by the new administration.
This has not yet been confirmed.
According to the government, this is the first time the position has been advertised since Mrs Reynolds stepped down in October.
It has only been advertised now despite Mrs Reynolds, who officially vacated her post on Sunday, announcing her plans to resign in May because the airport is waiting for the new operating model to be confirmed.
The job advertisement calling for applicants for the full-time position is now online and starting salary for the role is £82,797 per year with a potential relocation package of £10,000.
The individual who is appointed will be responsible for advising on service provision, meeting the aviation needs of the community and generating revenue.
