Professional services provider Equiom is hoping a new appointment will help boost its business.

Graeme Shanks is its new senior manager in the aviation team.

The appointment comes as Equiom prepares to take part in the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva in May.

Mr Shanks will be responsible for business development for Equiom’s aviation services.

Through attendance at events throughout the year, Mr Shanks will try to sell the companies services to new customers.

Mr Shanks has more than 14 years’ experience, having worked in senior positions within the aviation and financial services industries.

Equiom says he has ’particular expertise’ in the finance and leasing of business jets for the super-rich and corporate owners across the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Mr Shanks has ’built an extensive contact network that spans the global aircraft finance and legal communities, lessors, aircraft manufacturers, airlines, family offices and a host of other aviation service providers and advisors’, the company says in a press release.
