Managing reputation and good governance is the topic for the Isle of Man Marketing Community’s first event of 2018.
Reputation is a topic close to the heart of the event’s speaker, Tony Langham, who has been listed in Debrett’s top 500 most influential people in the UK and is one of PR Week’s top 300 influential PR people in the world.
Tony is chief executive and co-founder of consultancy firm Lansons and has worked with many well-known brands including The Co-Operative Bank, Fidelity and (Eddie) Stobart Group.
Additionally, Tony plays an active role in developing the UK reputation management and PR industry.
In 2015 he chaired the Public Relations & Communications Association (PRCA)’s PR Council, the think tank for the UK PR industry and he is currently writing a book on Reputation Management, commissioned by the PRCA, to be published in 2018.
Reputation and governance is not just a hot topic in the marketing community but also resonates with the wider business community on the island following recent international reports.
The event in January will kick off the Isle of Man Marketing Community’s exciting schedule of events for 2018.
Voirrey Barron, part of the Isle of Man Marketing Community’s steering group said: ’Reputation is a really important topic and the Isle of Man Marketing Community is excited to be welcoming such a wonderful authority on this topic.
’It will be a great start to our 2018 programme, we’ve got lots of exciting events lined up which we plan to reveal each quarter. Be sure to follow us on social media for announcements of upcoming events.
’Our focus is to bring the Island’s marketing professionals information and discussions on the latest trends and topics which is why we aren’t announcing a full year’s itinerary.’ Isle of Man Marketing Community is a business networking group giving those who work in, or have an interest in, marketing and associated services a platform for networking, sharing of knowledge and opportunities on the Isle of Man.
The event will be held at 5.30pm on Monday, January 15 at The Embassy Room in the British, Douglas.
The event is free to attend but numbers are limited.
