An annual quiz organised by Castletown Ale Drinkers raised £674 for local charities.
It was held on November 8 at Castle Rushen High School, which once again proved to be the perfect venue.
A total of 22 teams of eight took part and tried to answer the questions set by Eric Clague.
After 100 questions there was a familiar ring to the top places with the Trafalgar Victory Crew coming out on top after a big last round score while Colby FC were once again runners-up and just two points behind.
A disastrous final round from Ushtey saw them plummet from the first place they had held for the first three rounds to finish in the bronze position, though only one point behind the Colby footballers.
All quizzers were generous with donations of raffle prizes plus ticket purchases and together with all prize money being handed back a total was raised for local charities.Â
The quiz has been going since 1983 and the total raised now stands at £21,144.41.
The CADS thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the evening and hope that they are all available again for the 2020 event which is provisionally set for the usual second Friday in November, on November 13.
