A new group will finally unveil their hotly-anticipated new material next week.

Call me Amour, which features local musicians Harry Radford and Geoff Murphy, will release their new single ’Tourniquet’ on Monday, November 19.

’Tourniquet’ is Harry’s first material since leaving his previous group, Yashin, in 2016.

Following the break-up of the melodic, metalcore group Yashin, who released three highly rated albums over a seven-year period, gaining an international following on both sides of the Atlantic, Harry teamed up with Douglas-based guitarist and songwriter Geoff.

Initially starting as an experimental two-piece, they soon recruited British drummer Danny Hill, and were recently joined by bassist Brian Hill.

Geoff Murphy said that they have taken their time to create the music they were happy with.

’It’s taken us over a year of writing and experimenting to develop our sound,’ said Geoff.

’We had a rough idea from the start and with this single we’ve found our sound which is a cross over of electronica, electro dance and rock with a dark tone to it. ’We wanted to create something that had big choruses with strong melodies.’

The video for ’Tourniquet’ has been available to watch online, and has already created a buzz of expectation for the release of new material later next year.

’We’re all excited about the release of the single and people’s reactions to it,’ he said.

’The video has received some positive attention and has been play listed on Scuzz TV.’

The band made their tentative live debut at the Villa Marina last year, supporting the indie group Razorlight during their TT gig, and are now gearing up for promotional showcase gigs in the UK.

They are next due to play at the Assembly Rooms, Camden, London on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

’Following the London show we have plans to tour in the UK and Europe, all of which are in discussions at the moment,’ said Geoff.

’Hopefully, after that, we’ll be in a position to do some of the festivals in 2019 with the release of a follow up single or EP later in the year.’

’Tourniquet’ is released through the Townsend Music Record Label, and is available on all recognised platforms, such as iTunes, Spotify and Amazon.
