Manx Blind Welfare Society is looking for people to volunteer at its fundraising shop, The VIP Store, in Strand Street, Douglas.
The shop, which opened in November 2015, has proved a great success, selling good quality pre-owned clothes, books, ornaments and small items of furniture.
The name was chosen as VIP not only means Very Important Person; it is also shorthand used for Visually Impaired Person.
The society is now hoping more volunteers will come forward to help with roles such as serving at the till, putting out stock, sorting through donations and transporting items to the shop from the society’s headquarters in Onchan.
Volunteers coordinator and events organiser, Debbie Thomson, said: ’The aim of the shop is to provide a sustainable source of income which can support the society’s work with blind and visually impaired people here in the Isle of Man.
’Even if you only have a little time to spare, just a few hours could make all the difference.’
No experience is necessary as full training will be given.
