A car has crashed into the side of a tram on the junction of Howe Road in Onchan.

The tram was heading north along the track from Port Jack to Groudle along the Kind Edward coast road.

The Department of Infrastructure have confirmed: ‘There has been an incident with the tram service at 1.40pm from Derby Castle to Ramsey with tram 22.’

It appears as though the car has not stopped at the junction and collided with the side of the tram.

There were no reported injuries.
