Two vehicles were involved in a car crash this morning at Main Road in Santon.

One car had overturned with a woman and two children inside but they had got out of the vehicle and were treated for shock and minor injuries by paramedics at the scene.

A statement from Fire Service station officer Tony Duncan said: ’ At 9.20am fire crews from Douglas station were mobilised to a report of a two vehicle RTC at Main Road, Santon.

’On arrival it was found that one vehicle had received superficial damage whilst the other had overturned with three occupants inside.

’A woman and two children had released themselves from the vehicle prior to fire service attendance and were treated for shock and minor injuries by paramedics on scene.

’Fire cover was provided and the vehicle made safe for recovery. Crews remained in attendance for 30 minutes.’
