A further five people have tested positive for the Covid-19 strain of the coronavirus.

The increase brings the total number of people in the island to have been diagnosed with the virus to 37.

Of those who have tested positive, 35 patients have been instructed to self-isolate and two are being treated at the hospital.

The contact tracing process is already underway led by Public Health.

There have been 701 concluded tests and 170 tests awaiting results.
